“Lord, let me honor you by knowing my worth. I am a child of God. I am worthy.”
Too many times we feel unworthy. Our pasts, our sins, our self esteem prohibit us from feeling we have any worth. We allow our human emotions to take over and push us away from God.
In order to move forward into the light, we must understand a crucial point: We are a child of God. He loves all including the sinner. God created us all and is very aware we are sinful people. However, when God sent His son to us, He proved to us that we are worthy of love no matter what.
Understand we are worthy of love. In order for us to move forward we must, seek God’s forgiveness and repent for our sins and we must be able to love and accept ourselves as we are. This is crucial. When we are able to see our value and worth and accept ourselves as God made us, then and only then, can our eyes be opened to the love God has for us. We need to stop measuring ourselves by human standards and recognize that we are already enough through God’s standards.
Dear Heavenly Father, when I struggle to find any self-worth, let me remember I am created by you and you are perfect. You love me for who I am, a child of yours. Help me to be grateful for the unique person you have made me. Amen.
